Ah! I'm going to India tomorrow! I can't believe it! Our adoption journey has been a long one, with many ups and downs, but God has been there every step of the way and I have really seen His hand in how it has all played out. I am just so thankful that the time has finally come!
There has been a lot of crazyness around here these last few days, but I've really tried to focus on spending time as a family as well. I took Madi to get her nails painted for the first time at the nail salon (green of course) and that was fun. We've cuddled and watched movies together, sat on the floor and played together, and of course, there have been many hugs and kisses. I've told the kids many stories of how this time will go, to try and ease their nervousness. Tonight I bathed the kiddos, washed their hair, clipped their nails, and cuddled them to sleep in my bed so that I can be close to them tonight. Tomorrow morning I'll get up a little early, get ready, and then head to the airport. The plan is to leave at 8:45 to get there about 9:20ish, as our plane leaves at 11:20 (Thanks Tony for taking me! You're a good big brother!!).
I've checked and double-checked to try and make sure I have everything I need. I am really praying that everything just falls in to place and that somewhere amongst the craziness we get to rest. Please keep my family in your prayers. I will do my best to upload photos and videos on here, so check in often :). We won't see Ramya until Thursday (India time), though, as we have a huge flight (24 hours about total) and lose a day getting there because of the time change.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has been walking this journey with us, who prays for us, and who loves and supports us. I cannot even begin to tell you how much it means to us to have you in our lives.
Now let's get my girl HOME!!!
How exciting! Safe travels! We adopted our son with SB in Aug. 2009.
